Rehearsal

We had a rehearsal on 26 January at the church. Cool~ but tiring. I was still sick and recovering from my flu. *cough cough*

The aisle is quite short and we had to walk very slowly, sync with the music. So tough~ Cannot imagine what will happen on the actual day.

Thanks to my cousins, Kelly, Zen, Gini and Jerry. Not forgetting my Jie Mei, Doreen. Oh must thank her future husband soon, for accompanying Doreen. :) Love all of you.

WE R READY

Positive VS Negative

Well... People always say that it is good to be positive. However, I beg to differ. It really depends on the situation and occasion. For example, being positive in your studies is good. It serves as a motivation and urges you to improve. However, you would not want to be HIV-positive. Hahaha because that means you have aids. *LOL

In my case, the parents meet-up was positive while our tests were negative. Hurray~! Both parents had a great dinner. We had geoduck and lobster! Yum~ We even discovered that Aloy's father and my parents were from the same secondary school - Whampoa. Different year, of coz. His father is my parents' senior. This makes life easier for us. heh.

As for our tests, we are both healthy. We do not have Thylassaemia, so we can have babies. Phew~ Thank God for answering our prayers.

Got a call from my designer that MY PHOTOS ARE READY! Woohoo~ I will be going to view and select them this Sunday 14th October. So cool. Cannot wait to see them. According to him, we took a total of 800 photographs. Can you believe that? I think we have to pay a lot of $$$ to buy the extra photos. I need a bigger pocket!!!

Btw we went for a blood test last Saturday at Singhealth Seng Kang. Ouch so pain lor. Coz my mum's family has thylasamia so I have to test too. If both of us have the illness, then we cannot have babies. So better to check first. Pray that the results are negative or at least one of us is negative. God bless. Results will be out on the 20 October.

Next Friday 19 October, our parents are going to have a first meet up. keke I know it's very late. We already planned everything, now then parents meet up. Hope that everything will be fine and the discussion about the brideprice will be smooth.

I had my photoshoot finally. My day started at 5.30am. Heh... Wake up to wash hair, bathe and travel to the bridal shop. Then we reached the shop at 7am sharp. Then our make up artist dolled us up and I got to wear my actual wedding gown with all the accessories. So happy. I think I look pretty. haha BHB. Anyway, Aloysius look like a Korean star with his hair gel up. Handsome :P~~

We did our indoor shoot first.

I actually changed my dresses in the open!!! Once in the ah-gong shop, and once at the carpark of botanical garden. My first. kekeke

We went to
1) A pond beside KK hospital. Wanted to lure some pigeons but the pigeons never come. haha Probably will superimpose them. Wasted a loaf of bread. keke
2) Arab street. First we took pictures at a broken down house, next we went to Ah-gong shop. It is a shop selling antiques. Very nice place. I quite like the lamps sold there, thinking of getting them for my new house.
3) Botanical Garden. The swans at the swan lake were quite cooperative. After a while, they swam towards us (because of the fish food we bought) and we took many pictures with them.
4) Turf City. Actually it is more like a stable for the horses. The horse was the most cooperative today. It came automatically to us. In fact, it tried to outshine us. haha

Personally, I think the indoor photos will look better than the outdoor ones. It was really hot and my make up was like melting lor. We even had to run. Cannot wait to see the products.

Just had a super long bath. The hair took the longest time to clean. Phew~ So much hairspray.

WEDDING SHOES

Wow September is a really busy month for me and Aloy. We really sat down to plan for our wedding and to confirm all the helpers. We even combed the whole of Chinatown to search for some stationery and items which we can use.

Let's see:

We finally bought our BED. After looking at so many brands, we finally settled with SEALY POSTUREPEDIC (KING size) haha. Dunno so big for wad. Anyway it will only be delivered somewhere late Dec.
I tailor-made my shoes. We went to leaping lizard and finally decided on a design out of the 100s pairs of shoes. Phew! Quite costly but comes with swavroski crystals. Will show you the pictures soon, anyway I have to go for fitting on 20 Sep so that my shoe will be ready for the photoshoot. Btw I will be 3 inches taller.
FOund some stores selling wedding stuff and bring my mum there to get all the necessary.
Book an appointment with my priest to have our pre-nuptial interview on the 13th Sep.
Need to find pink ties for my helpers. Still cant find value for $$$ ones. Any suggestions?
Oh yah. I also bought a quilt cover, pillow cases and bolster case. So kiasu right? haha
Going to NATAs fair to book my honeymoon package this Friday. Cant wait.

I want to express my sincere thanks to Xinyi, who bought some items (the big shuang xi's and the ang-pows) from Hongkong for us. Really appreciate.

I am so excited. Hopefully I can see my gown soon. =)

Where should I go for my honeymoon???

I cant go to Europe as I only have 7 days leave. At first wanted to go Japan - Hokkaido, but my family (including me) will be going there this December. Should I go Tokyo? Some friends suggested New Zealand. Argh... where oh where?

Taiwan, Korea, Australia is out, I just went there not long ago. and please do not suggest Malaysia or Indonesia or Thailand... zzz...

Finally... will be having my photoshoot on the 1st October, Children's Day! So excited, cant wait. Hmm... wonder where my co-ordinator will take us. Hopefully, it's some exotic and special place.

Have also decided on the theme of my wedding banquet. But I'm not going to tell you. hahaha. Surprise!

According to the Chinese customs, we are not allowed to attend any weddings/funerals 3 months before and after our wedding. This means that I have to miss 3 of my friends' weddings! Quite sad... but it's good for us and also for them. I cant invite them too. Aiyo, so pandang.

Progress of our home~ It started construction in end 2005. Now all the flats and the carpark are completed. They are fitting the interior as it is a premium flat. Then they will have to paint the flats. Do you know this place? Haha it's really near my workplace. After marriage, will have to live with my in-laws for maybe a year before our house is ready. Cant wait to have a house to call my own. hehe

KELONG

Recently, we went to a kelong in Indonesia for a short vacation. It's really a dilapidated kelong and it was actually featured on Channel U "Do Shi Da Fa Xian" last week. It was really fun and I caught my first SOTONG! Sotongs are translucent and they turn BLACK when they are in danger. That's the ink which they spit. hahaha It's really an experience of a lifetime.

We went to Korea last December. It was soOOooooooOooo cold~ but it was fun, we visited a lot of places, like the Da Chang Jin set, Ski World, Lotte World, venue of Winter Sonata - Nami Island, museums and even learn to make KIMCHI.

After taking a second look at stamford ballroom, it looks quite cool. That day when we went, there was a wedding there. The set-up was gold and black, I love it. Hope that the elders will allow us to use black as well. Black really looks stunning and gorgeous. SEXY~ kekeke Gave up the high ceiling for a big reception area is worth it, the view from the recept is beautiful too. Ok, not too bad la. hahaha Anyway, we wouldn't want to be beside D&D where there's like 800 people.

Hey, did you notice my new background. Isn't it sweet? Thanks to my cousin, Kelly. Does the picture of aloynmin resemble us??? Drawn by our home-grown soon artist-of-the-year, aka cousin Peter. And not forgetting my MC for the wedding night, cousin E.T. They are a great bunch of people to find time to help me in my preparations. God bless them all.

COUNTING MY BLESSINGS

During SITEX 2007, we bought a SONY handycam DCR-DVD908E. It costs us close to 2k but the shop threw in a lot of freebies. We got a tripod stand (and I mean the real thing, not the mini kind), total of 3 batteries, a humidity fridge (cool right?), a SONY photo printer and a few mini discs. We planned to take our own video during our wedding. Any kind souls would like to volunteer? kekeke

Yesterday, I decided to test try the cam. Everything went well until...... we saw the free discs. They gave us one DVD-RW and 6 DVD-R! Then I was quite confused. After reading up, R = recordable, and RW = rewritable. Sigh, no wonder they gave us so many free discs. hahaha

I think during the next computer show, we should buy the external charger.

Troubles, Problems, and more

Hmmmz...

First our BS coordinator flew to Paris w/o informing us and we have to change our coordinator. Fortunately he came back and took over our case again. We still prefer him.

Now our hotel coordinator asks us to change our Canning Ballroom to Stamford Ballroom. I really like Canning becoz of its high ceiling. Sigh sigh. Sophia has its pros too. The room is squarish and has its own reception area which is coooool. Decision decision decision.
